Is this feeling normal so early on...

I am probably only about 2 weeks pregnant (missed period was today).

Last night DH and I ate dinner late (9:30pm). As soon as I went to bed, I felt like my heart was in my throat. It felt like it was pounding out of my chest!

This morning I drank a bottle of water and I feel a little better, but not great.

Is this normal?

I completely cut out caffeine this weekend. So I went from drinking 2-3 cups / day to nothing. Could this be a side effect?? Chat Icon

ETA - I also just started taking prenatals on Friday. Do you think something in them could be giving me this reaction??

Thanks so much!!!!!!!!!

My doc said its completely normal to have a faster heartbeat when pg. Try to relax and breathe through your nose & out through your mouth. I found that when I have my heartrate fast - I lie down and do those breathing excerises and it helps. Feel better.

Yes, it's completely normal. You may want to stay away from caffeine all together but there is honestly nothing to worry about Chat Icon
