Is this a good rate for movers?
I just had a moving company come and give me an estimate. They said it's a 3 person job. The rate for 3 men is $119/hour. I think it sounds reasonable. I think for 2 men it would have been $88/hour.

how many hours do they think it will take?
I had 4 movers for that price I think - and it took 8 hours give or take to move a 1 bedroom apartment
1 guy stayed with the truck

1 guy stayed with the truck
they estimated 6-8 hours for a 2 bedroom townhouse with a loft and a huge walk in attic that is overflowing with stuff! we're packing everything ourselves though and wouldn't need anyone to stay with the truck. another place i called hasn't come yet for an estimate, but over the phone they told me $138/hr for 3 men.
