Is this a good price for Part time daycare?

Part time, 2 days a week, less than 6 hours a day in a 2 year old $582 a month?

I'm clueless with part time prices, my DD was in full time about 45 hours a week when we both worked and in a different area of the state.Chat Icon

what do you think?

That seems like a lot but if it's a center, their p/t rates are high since they typically have the one spot to fill whether it be f/t or p/t so they charge as much as they can. I think you would have better luck with a family daycare center for that amount of time.

That sounds right for CT. I had my oldest in daycare (when he was 2) for 2 days a week and was $286 every two weeks=$572 a month. The hours were 9-4. He is now in half-day preschool and it costs $210 a month for 2 days a week 8:30-11:15. HTH. Chat Icon

My dd goes 2 days and the hours are 7:30- 4. I do not use all those hours. I pay $60 per day. So I think that's a typical price. Partime is often more money. My dd is at a licensed daycare provider who has max 5 kids in her home.
