Is there a stomach virus going around?
My mom vomited and had diarrhea Friday into sat. She was thinking maybe good poisoning because she had shrimp when she went out to eat.
My twins both had diarrhea once late this afternoon.
Not sure if its a coincidence or not?

Is there a stomach virus going around?
My son had it Tuesday (just vomiting). Another teacher in my building said both her kids had it last week. So it's going around. Hope everyone feels better!

uhh we already had that at xmass time it was horribly contagious! This time so far just diarrhea...hoping I don't get it. If I do it will make 3 times this pregnancy!! I just can't!!

Yes. My DS had this last week and I know at least 3 other children who have had it. I also know of a few adults who picked it up from the kids. Not fun at all.

DH (who NEVER gets sick) just had this. He was in bed from Thurs-Sat. No vomiting, but diarhea, fever, chills. I truly have never seen him this sick in the 16 years we've been together.
I PRAY TO GOD the girls and I don't get it, we've leaving for FL in a few days.

I was just about to do a search on this when I saw your post. Wondering same. My DD has had diahrrea 2x today.

ugh unfortunately yes. I have twins as well and my DS had some vomiting and gross poops so I am bathing in purell and hoping DD doesn't get it as well.

How woudl you know if the stomach virus you or your DC has is Norovirus or something else?
How do you determine the difference?

I just want to say, you are much better off washing with soap and water. I'm pretty sure purell/hand sanitizers don't really do much against norovirus, which is part of why it's so contagious.

You can be tested for the norovirus.. A regular bug usually lasts 24-48 hours and isn't as bad as the norovirus....

DD has it now, and I know it's going around school. DS and the rest of us haven't caught it (yet). She caught it yesterday and definitely won't be going to preschool tomorrow.

Oh no! DS is complaining of a tummy ache this evening and his poopie this afternoon (TMI warning) was borderline diarrhea.
We already had a nasty stomach virus at Christmas time. DS had diarrhea for 9 days and I had 101.7 with vomitting and diarrhea while 6 weeks preg. Not again

There are different stomach bugs going around. It use to be just one and then once you got it that year, you were good until the following year.. I don't understand how there are so many different stomach bugs out there now a days... The Norovirus is bad... There is the usual tummy bug and the Rotavirus.... I HATE all of them as I get so sick and end up in the ER every time...DS also ended up in the ER in 2011 for dehydration..

. You know what I am not totally positive this is what we had. Dh did some research and based on our symptoms, incubation period and how long we were contagious it seemed like this is what we had but I'm def not sure.
