Is there a large gap between your kids?

Hi there

I am new to this board (parenting). I am a parent of a 13 year old daughter (tricky age) Anyway, DH (not my daughter's father) and I are TTC. In fact we are doing IUI with injectables in a couple of weeks or so

I was wondering if anyone in here has that kind of gap in age between your children or something similar

I would like to know how your expereince with it for reference. Thank you for your information

My kids are 18 months apart but I can definitely speak from experience about siblings who have a large age difference, since my sister is 10 years older than me. It was really nice growing up (for me, anyway--she was kind of a "built-in babysitter" which she couldn't stand). We were never so close in age that we fought over much of anything. When she was a teenager she used to drag me to the mall but she kept me entertained with games and such, too.

And still today, we're really good friends

My girls are 7 1/2 years apart. Honestly, I was sooooo afraid of the gap and the jelousy issues. I feared that they would never be close. Well....I could not have been more wrong. DD#1 adores DD#2(and vice versa), they are super close and the transition has been pretty easy. I never imagined it could be this good. It is a dream come true for me

Oh, and DD#1 has been the biggest help with her new sister.
They are now almost 10 and 2 1/2
