I doubt it. Especially since Burton always puts a dark spin on things.

we saw a preview of Alice in Wonderland not long ago, and I'd have to say it's most likely not appropriate for a toddler.

I took Ale to see it -- $6 for both of us so what the heck.

After the previews were FINALLY over, she was done -- no interest in the movie or even in her (gasp!) popcorn....

We just saw it. Cailen loved it. I can see how a normal toddler might be frightened, but this is Cailen we are talking about, so......Chat Icon Chat Icon

DH took dd and ds to see it and they liked it. But I let my kids watch movies that are probably inappropriate for their age. Genevieve watches horror movies wth me all the time Chat Icon

We don't let him watch horror movies (although he loves the commercials for them - following right in our footsteps Chat Icon ) but he has seen all the Super Hero movies - not just the cartoons, but all the Spidermans, one of the Batmans, Wolverine, Transfomers, and even GI Joe (which was really boring). DH took him to see some movie last week that he loved - I think Uma Thurman is in it - all I know it had Medusa heads in them that scared him a little, but he would up loving it! Chat Icon

I would say probably not. DD likes Alice in Wonderland but I saw the previews and it honestly doesn't look appropriate for a toddler.

Re: Is the new Alice in Wonderland appropriate for a toddler?

I think it really depends on the toddler.... There were a few around Cailen's age in the theater and they were fine. I think if you have a toddler who gets easily frightened, it definitely will scare him/her. If you have a toddler who doesn't get easily scared, it's fine. It's a very colorful and visual movie.

DS is afraid of Spongebob. Highly unlikely he will be seeing it in the near future Chat Icon Chat Icon

I love this site. It gives a lot of detail about the movie.
