Is the Disney water park worth it for 4 & 2yo?

Do you think they are old enough, or is it too crazy at the watermark?

Or, if we stay at a resort like Polynesian, with their pool, would that be sufficient?

I think it's worth it. We had a blast at Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon when my DD was 3. That trip was 10 days though, so it didn't really cut into the other park time.

That's what I thought too.

Well I think you have to take a few things into account. I am holding off on it until the girls are older, taller (because there are height requirements for many things) and can swim well. I think if you are doing a short trip you are losing park time. If you go frequently, esp for longer trips and your children are tall and can swim well I would say go for it. There are areas for small children - but we just never felt the need to miss out on park time to go. Besides we like the Poly pool and during the summer we have a nice village pool that we go to and so we aren't big water park people.

We skip it because the girls have so much that they want to do in the parks and are asking to go back to the MK etc that we never get there.

Are you big water park people? If not I would probably skip it. There is so much to do between the 4 parks that you can go a few times a year or every year for a while and still not do everything.

I think on a short trip, skip it. The pool at the Poly is incredible. It'll be like a water park for the little ones, and you won't have to walk around or wait in lines.

In..let's just say a lot of days at Disney World, I've only spent one day at the Water Parks, and I don't feel I've missed out.

Ok! The trip will only be 5 park days....so I think we'll skip it.

For 5 days, skip it! The pools at Polynesian are great for the kids that age.

ITA. I would not even consider one. I am not a big fan of them and my DD hates getting wet. I think they are best for older kids OR unless you have alot of time to spare.

I mean, truly the Disney waterparks do have nice features. Typhoon Lagoon has the snorkel reef and the wave pool (neither of which is good for toddlers though), and Blizzard beach has awesome theming and Summit Plummet, so as water parks go, they are a GIANT step above Splish Splash, but I would still take kids thatg young to Splish Splash or another local waterpark over taking them to a waterpark when I'm spending $X a night to stay at the Poly. Especially for a first trip, I'd want to stay in the Disney magic

Re: Is the Disney water park worth it for 4 & 2yo?

We've been going to Disney for many years and we finally did Blizzard Beach for the first time about a year ago.

My kids LOVED it, but they were 8, 9 10 and 12. I felt like they were the perfect ages. Your kids might enjoy it, but I don't know if they would get much more out of it than the Poly pool. I don't think it would be worth spending the money yet.
