Is it time to transfer to a toddler bed??...

Nap time is becoming a nightmare. DD just turned 2 in july. She:

*takes her diaper off (and smears poop)

*purposely puts her foot between the slats and gets her leg stuck (so bad that its really hard for me to even get it out)

*tried to climb out for the first time today (unsuccesful)

*AND...try to figure this one out...she managed to wedge herself under the fitted crib sheet while it was still tucked in on all 4 sides!!! I came in and found a blob under the sheet but she was hysterical cause she was trapped in there.

So she has discovered all the things that will make me go in and attend to her in some way.

So I was gonna go out and buy a crib tent today. One that covers the slats too so that would solve 2 of the problems. But then a friend suggested possibly going straight to a toddler bed.

Is this a normal phase that means she wants out of the crib or heaven help me...is the nap dissapearing already


For a child who hates to nap HOW in the world do you get them to go to sleep in a toddler bed and not play in their room for 2 hours straight?
