Is it reflux or just gas??(with poll)
Ok need some opinions. Here is a quick recap of my DS feedings:
It's not every bottle some days are great some days arent'. on bad days:
1. He roots at the bottle and gets frustrated
2. will suck and then in an instant cry bloody murder
3. difficult to get a burp and still cries after the burp
4. screams for a looooooong time and stops taking the bottle after about 1 oz sometimes. So hell start eating and then stop b/c of some kind of pain.
5. gets really stiff while crying
6. hiccups at least once a day
7. congested
8. white tongue (formula fed but I heard its from spit up, however he doesn't spit up where it comes out of his mouth)

sounds like it could be reflux. Does he arch his back? does he cry and have a hard time when laying down? Does he always need to be propped up and held? Does his breath smell rancid like vomit?

thats what is making me question this. He is fine laying down. I have been propping him up to sleep b/c of a cold but he loves laying down on the play mat and changing table. Breath usually smells like fomula.

DS was gassy for his first month or two but no reflux so I'm not sure about those symptoms, but have you tried Mylicon drops?? We used them pretty religiously for about a month and they REALLY helped DS, we never had to switch formula or anything so his gas was "mild" but you still knew he was uncomfortable.
Is your little guy making enough poo diapers? If he's constipated that could be a problem too (we became experts in the "thermometer trick" around the same time  ). He needed a little help to get the poops out, it only lasted a month or two...

yes sometimes the drops works sometimes they dont/ He poops once or twice a day. which my dr. said was good for a FF baby. Usually FF babies can go a day or two with no poops and it's still normal. But yeah.. he def goes once a day maybe twice. Thanks
