Is it possible for the terrible twos to hit at 13 months?
I dont know what it is but for the past week dd has been doing this really high pitch scream, she starts to choking b/c shell just keep doing. Shes had tantrams before but this .. is something way beyond that. Dh and I are at a loss on what to do.
Last week she had a bad diaper rash, and ear infection. Diaper rash is gone, not sure about ear infection shes still on meds.. Could the meds be making her act this way? Its getting really bad.

Our kids are the same age so hopefully I can help Michael has had these tantrums for the past month or so! I read somewhere that this is the stage where they experiment with emotions...its not necessarily a sign of one's character, terrible twos, etc...You have to ride it out like we did...it got a lot better. The best thing to do is just ignore it.

My son started to do that ear piercing shriek around the same age....it was the most annoying sound (sorry to say that)...I posted about it as well, and luckily, like most people said, it was a phase. A hard phase to get through, but a phase none the less. There is a light at the end of the tunnel.

Im sooo Happy to hear its a phase. I hope its a quick one..  It came out of nowwhere.. so was getting nervous maybe somethins wrong and im missing the signals. Thanks!

It can start earlier than 2, but does not really peak until almost 4.
I HATE to be Debbie Downer, but as I have said before, the 3's are SO MUCH WORSE than the 2's. Whoever coined "Terrible Twos" should have called it "Treacherous TODDLERS".
