Is anyone tired of hearing me whine yet?
Can I whine some more?
NEVER, EVER in my life have I stayed up because I was stressed about going to sleep! This has never been a problem!
I have an appointment with an orthopedic surgeon next Tuesday...and it's not going to come fast enough.

I hope they can give you some relief to get your through your pregnancy, you should be able to enjoy it and not be in pain the whole time. I think I am on the road to seeing my pain doctor very soon as well.

From what my chiropractor can tell, I don't have "typical" pregnancy sciatica. I have a herniated disc in my back which is leaning directly on my sciatic nerve. It's the most intense pain I've ever been in.
I was finally able to sleep last night, after taking 2 Tylenol PM...but I paid for it, because I've been up for 3 hours and the pain is still really intense. Usually it lets up after I've exercised that leg a little bit.

OMG, Beth, everytime I read your posts I feel horrible for you. I wish you could be comfortable. Hopefully the doctor with figure something out for you. Keep us posted.

Nope. He helped me immensely last summer (I had a herniated disc, probably the same as this one), but it seems it didn't help this time. I even took a course of steroids, and those didn't help, either.
I'm so frustrated.

Sciatica is really tough under normal circumstances (I got it with my first pregnancy & it never went away) so I can't even imagine how uncomfortable you must be with it being so severe.

The Tylenol PM DEFINITELY helped me sleep--but I wonder if it was actually a bad idea to take it. For the first time in WEEKS, I slept 9 hours. Seems great, right? Well I woke up and was in the most immense amount of pain yet. Maybe my body is waking me up so often because I can't handle sleeping so long.
The whole thing just sucks.
