iPhone question

For those who have the iPhone, would you recommend it?

What are you likes/dislikes?

We are considerring getting 2 of them, but for the money, I really want to make sure they are worth it.

Re: iPhone question

Thanks for replies!

I spent about 5 minutes in the store playing around with it, and it seemed pretty user friendly, but I still have my concerns - and typing was one of them.

We'll have to break our existing contract to get them and all that extra $$ is weighing on my conscience.

How is the cell phone quality? Are your calls loud and clear? Is the service excellent??

Great! AT&T used to not be my favorite provider, so I just needed to hear that they have improved.

I will probably use my iPhone as a cell phone the most (go figure), so that's what is imporant to me. That and the internet.

I'll still use my digital camera to take pictures, and my ipod to listen to music. I might be one of the few who still wants their phone to work like a phone!

Don't forget about your emails. It's so nice that you can read them on the road. Also you can text message on it.

I use my iPhone for all my music.

I also like the map on the phone for address and phone number lookup. It's one good feature on the phone.

Do you get this using mapquest or yahoo maps? Or is this a separate feature on the phone?

DH just got a navigation system for his car, but I'm the one who gets lost when I meet my friends for brunch.

I agree. I love my iPhone and can't imagine how I ever got along without it.

Re: iPhone question

DH surprised me with one for Christmas (didn't even ask for it)...I'm still learning how to use it, but it's pretty cool.

I do have a question...do you find the battery dies pretty quickly?
I charged it the night before and didn't really use it all that much and I have to recharge again. Just wondering...

My battery lasts several days, probably 4-5, on a single charge even with a lot of use. I would try turning down the brightness on the display. Still, it sounds like your battery might be defective if it's not properly holding a charge. You could bring it into the Apple store. If it's really broken, they'd probably replace it.
