Great site - I usually go to the Megan's Law website - which is pretty good too.
i read an article on a parenting website about a couple how went to contract and found out that the house a few doors down was owned by a sex offender. They debated backing out, worried about losing a deposit they couldn't afford to lose. In the end, they bought the house when one of their friends pointed out that they know someone lives there is a sex offender. Who's to say that whatever house they do buy next won't have someone who wasn't convicted yet? It went on to say - that this neighborhood everyone looks out for everyone else's kids more than anywhere else they've lived.
I guess the morale of the story - is you never know, so just trust your instincts.
