Insurance coverage ?
 I need to find a great fertility doctor that accepts a wide range of insurance plans.I have HIP and I can't change insurance companies until Oct 06 !!!!! I currently see a OBGYN and new problems have come to light that require a specialist. Any suggestions? Nervous and discouraged- Jill

Call your insurance company and ask for names. A lot of times, they will list the doctors under your plan on the company website. You can also look up RE's in your area and call and ask if they accept your insurance.

Sorry..
yes north shore manhasset has an amazing fertility clinic called " center for human reproduction"

I conceived #2 there and just started going back for #3.
They take HIP

I go to The Center for human reproduction as well at North shore University hosp. I love it there after switching from someplace else...

I believe East Coast Fertility takes that.
I just checked theri site I didnt see it, but you can always call.

nsuh- manhasset is probably far from you, but they do some of their procedures at huntington hospital- Dr. Chu.

Just know that with HIP, you usually need a doctor's referral to a Reproductive Endocrinologist (or any specialist).
NSUH I believe takes just about all insurance plans. Their hours are very flexible.

Yes, and not ONLY did I have to get a referral but with HIP they only give a max of 4 visits at a time.
Thank goodness the lady who does the referals at my GP's office is so wonderful.. She is going to generate lets say 4 one day and 4 the next day, and 4 the day after.. so I dont have to call every few days for them.
HIP has a weird policy for IUI though..much different then my last insurance.. its not black and white to them whether they will cover them or not, its on a " if its deemed neccasary" basis

I just want to thank everyone for you help and support. I don't want to sound cheesy, but I have come to depend and value all your opinions and advice. For the first time in a long time I don't feel alone, or weird because I am struggling to have a baby. In a few short days this website has greatly impacted my life and I am very greatful!
I am in the process of working out a refferal with my p.c. doctor to get an appointment in NS manhassett, any particular doctor you guys would recommend?
