Infant CPR

My son's pediatrician recommended that DH and I take an Infant CPR class. We are taking it this weekend and I thought I would share the info.

Has anyone taken an infant CPR class before?

I took one at CFA in Smithtown a few months ago. It was very informative and worth it. I hope we never have to use the information we learned!

Re: Infant CPR

I took a class last summer that covered infants and adults. The only problem is I don't really remember it. I probably need a refresher class or should look at my notes a little more often.

Re: Infant CPR

I took one this past summer at the Red Cross chapter in Nassau... it was child, infant cpr and first aid. I thought it was well worth it. Have fun!

Re: Infant CPR

those of you who took it a few years ago, get a re-fresher, some protocols changed, the amount of compressions to breaths changed for infants.

I took the child & adult CPR class a few months ago. Honestly, I don't remember miuch but hope it will come back to me if there is an emergency. I also keep the CPR guide from Parent's magazine on my fridge.

I took an infant and child CPR class last month through my school district. Totally worth the money. They also taught the heimlich maneuver.
