In Case Anyone Is Still Following the Story...
The drunk azz who hit the limo on the Meadowbrook and killed the two people has now had the charges upped to murder!!! So, instead of manslaughter and DWI charges, he is now being charged with 2 counts of murder and the DWI charges!!!
I hope justice will prevail!

I heard this earlier today. I am VERY happy that they up the charges. Because of this guy, I see that little girls face all day. I am very sickened by this whole story and I hope he rots in jail for the rest of his life.

I believe that her funeral is this Saturday. They were waiting for her father to get out of the hospital.

Wow, I'm relieved that they upped the charges! It still doesn't fix what he did, but it makes me feel a bit better.

They should have just upped it to manslaughter... a case they definitely would have won.
With a murder charge... you have a chance of it getting thrown out.
It was a tradegy... but I really don't think he will get convicted of murder on this one. Thats a big charge they have to prove.

It had already been manslaughter. As far as I read in the article, the are going to try and prove the murder charges because of depraved indifference to human life (something like that). That will be based on how reckless his behavior was with no regard to human life (based on the fact that his BAC was almost three times the legal limit and the fact that he was driving the wrong way on the parkway).

i still think that i would have kept it at manslaughter to guarentee a guilty verdict. I think the murder charge is going to be harder to get.
