Improving your Egg Quality

I have just suffered my third miscarriage in 16 months. I am 41. My OB is sending it out for testing but he firmly believes it was chromosonal because of my age. I dont know if I have it in me to try again but I also cannot accept that this is done and I have no choice in the matter.

I remember reading very briefly about supplements you can take to improve your egg quality but haven't researched it properly yet.

Has anyone else read up on this or taken any supplements? If you have can you please share?

Many thanksChat Icon

Dr B gave me a list of vitamins to take and i still have a ton left over...

I will double check when i get home just in case i missed any.

COq10
Reservatrol (i heard Dr Oz talking about this vitamin)
Pycnogenol
Mitochondrial Energy Optimizer with BioPQQ
Royal Jelly (he said not to take this if you are allergicy to bee stings)

Re: Improving your Egg Quality

Thanks, do you think I can just start taking these supplements or do I have to talk to my OB about it?

Also do you think at this stage I should start seeing an RE? My OB just says its my age and thats it.....

Re: Improving your Egg Quality

I just posted this study on how high monounsaturated fats can improve egg quality and low saturated fats.

DHEA has a reputation for helping, but it makes sense to get your levels tested because it can throw your hormones off balance if you're not deficient.
