I'm feeling so nervous about being a mom of two.

I have an almost two year old (Feb 19th) and I'm due with baby #2 within three weeks (EDD Feb 21st).

I feeling very anxuous and really worried regarding how I am going to be able to handle it. I get scared and depressed just thinking about it.

I don't think DH gets it but that's a whole other story - he won't be waking up at night.

Any words of wisdom????Advice??

Advice- that it's TOTALLY NORMAL to feel overwhelmed, trapped, confused and like you cant do what everyone else CAN do. I didnt know how the heck to go about leaving the house with two. I didnt know where to turn first, who to tend to first.

Now I leave the house with 3 and somehow, we all get out and everyone is taken care of.

it comes with experience, time and asking for help if and when you can.,
when youre about to say "no thank you" , think about taking that kind offer of support, even if someone wants to get the stroller for you or watch one while you run after the other, etc.

It gets better, and we're all here for those rough days. but I promise there are more smooth days than rough days.

I agree it does come with experience.. when I had my DS whos now 5.5 I was very nerous about having my DD whos now 2.5

I was afraid of never leaving the house.. how would I go to the store..etc. (ESPECIALLY ME) Im so naurotic!

Now I can go out and do things without questioning myself because Im used to it. Its def normal and I think you will do just fine! Have a little faith!

You are not alone. I feel like that too. I work days and DH works nights. We are both like single parents and I think we are equally nervous. He has the rushed schedule, trying to get out the door by 12 or have them ready by 12 if my Mom is coming. I have the cranky hours. I come home from work exhausted and I am now faced with one and soon to be 2 cranky children that I have to play with, get fed and to bed. I don't know how I will do it but so many have done it before me, I am sure I will figure it out.

I felt the same way, my 2 are 20 months apart... the baby is only 2 1/2 months now and already we are in a pretty good routine and I've left the house with both of them numerous times!

The beginning is tough especially if you are BFing... I had a baby nurse and it was the best thing I could have done... Really helped with getting my older one used to the baby and I got some well needed sleep as well...

Thank you everyone. It helps to know there are other people out there. I really needed to just hear that it will be OK and that I WILL eventually leave the house. I guess this is a common fear:)

it will all be ok.. i had the pleasure of 2 at once!!!!! it will all work out.. after 2 weeks i was going to the mall and parks with the babies all by myself!!! now i do mommy and me classes.. just me and my boys!!! you do great!!
