Depending on the reason you are scheduled it could be emergency or less of an emergency.

For me it was 4 days.... not something I believe they do now. I did have to be in the hospital after my water broke to be monitored.
I'm sorry...I read your post wrong...I wasn't scheduled for a c-section, but my water broke and I didn't deliver until 4 days later...sorry.

I think all OBs are different - mine stuck to a policy where the baby needed to be delivered within 24 hrs of water breaking, to decrease chances of infection.

My water broke before my scheduled c/s with #1. I went into the hospital, and he was born less than 3 hours later.
