do they usually request you buy and bring all of the food the kids will eat?

maybe milk - since they don't usually have it around. Otherwise my mom keeps the kitchen stocked with all the things they like - and alot of the stuff that I don't give

If it was just my dd no I can't imagine that would happen, but if my son was going I would bring food for him. But that's only b/c I wouldn't expect the grandparents to know what ingredients he needs to avoid in his diet.

We're going to visit my parents in less than 2 weeks and my mom just wants a detailed list of what to go buy. I think it makes her happy to go buy stuff DD needs.

I have always packed food for her when she has stayed. Especially when she was young (on baby food). Both sets of grandparents would have some stuff for her but I figure why not pack it to make it easier for them. MY DD is also only 20 mos and quite picky. If she were older - say 4 and eating most adult food I wouldn't pack anything - unless they asked me to.

I do drop off food for them because my kids eat mostly organic but it's never been requested.

My parents- no way. My mother would refuse to watch them if I brought anything over. 
My IL's- I normally buy and bring all the food over.

It hasn't happened yet, DD is only 4 months, but my il's have a can of formula at their house and I keep one at my mom's house too.
I know when my parents watch my nephew, there is always food for him. My sister may bring extra milk b/c he drinks a lot of milk, but my parents have never asked her to supply them with food for him.

My son had never been overnight, however we bring our own food for every visit & babysitting. It is my choice though.

Well my MIL watches her everyday & I always bring her bm & baby food (although she has some of her own). I bring it to my mom's also, but if she was on regular food, no way
