If your child has ADHD and you use medication...
What age did you start the medication? TIA
Also, is anyone aware of any support groups online for parents of children with ADHD?

We started my DD on medication at 6 1/2.
As far as support groups, there is one on Long Island called CHAD or CHADD. As far as online, not sure.

Have you tried fish oil? We are trying to hold of medication until first grade (6.5)

DS was about 6.5 in the middle of first grade. When his first grade teachers both said is attention skills were impacting his ability to learning we knew we had to take the next step and try medication. It has made a world of difference. He is an A student and has moved out of an integrated class into typical ed with resource room one period a day.

We just started with Omega 3 and herbal supplements. I would like to hold off as long as possible since she is so young.

We started my kids on meds at 6.5 years old. It made such a difference in their school work. We have also started 15 mg of zinc and fish oil every day also.
