If your child had tubes put in their ears...
...Did they ever get another ear infection? If so, how frequently compared to before the tubes? Did one round of antibiotic clear it up? Did you see drainage out of the ears?
My DS just had the tubes put in 2 weeks ago and he now has another ear infection!

DS hasn't gotten them, but I know a friend's DD did and they weren't placed correctly so she had to have them done again just recently.
She did get ear infections after the first surgery, but not the second.

My DD had tubes when she was 18 months, after constant ear infections. Once the tubes were put in, the infections stopped immediately. Now, 2 years later, they are out, and she has had only one ear infection. The tubes were a lifesaver for her.
