If your child eats eggs...
Do you give your child the whole egg yet?
Megan is almost a year old and I was wondering if I could scramble up an egg for her today. At this point, isnt it ok that she eat the whole egg?

My ped said after they were one, but I really don't think it makes a big difference. We started way before that
We gave her a little bit of scrambled eggs made sure there was no reaction and she has been eating them since.

Yeah, you see this is the way to create a monster. So you give the kids scrambled eggs with ketchup, and the kid only eats the ketchup...thats what happens in our house. Also, my husband is a ketchup fiend.

Marron eats the whole egg. I started giving them to her right around 1 year old. She loves them! And no, I never use ketchup. I just don't want to start that habit so early. I want her to like the taste of food. I figure she has plenty of time to drown everything in condiments like her Daddy does.

Yes, they eat the whole egg. I gave them the yolk for the first time at 9 months and soon after tried the whole egg. They have omelettes, french toast, waffles - anytthing with the whole egg now.

I agree, don't give ketchup yet. She should like the taste of the eggs. Hayley is almost 2 and I once in a while give her ketchup for her fries

I gave scrambled whole eggs about 10 months old. My son loved them, my DD was eh. I have added some shredded cheddar cheese into them and they seem to love that. Try that instead of ketchup.

Was I not supposed to give him the whole egg? DS doesn't get eggs often, he's had maybe 3, but I've always given the whole thing and he's only 9.5 months. I'll put it in a small pan, flip it and add cheese.
