if you were in a crisis, which one would you be?

Do you think you would be a hero or step back and let someone else be the hero?

Re: if you were in a crisis, which one would you be?

It all depends on the situation. Would I be that brave man who jumped under the train to save that man in the subway? Probably not. Those are angels.

Then again, I was never in a situation remotely close to that, so I dont know what I would do.

Re: if you were in a crisis, which one would you be?

I usually pop into action pretty fast.

I think it's from my background of taking care of kids and also being in HR and being the emergency go-to person.

But like the above poster said, I don't know if I would have been able to jump nito the subway like that.

But I would have called for help and dialed 911 and been trying SOMETHING to get him out.

I would probably be the one that freezes up.

Re: if you were in a crisis, which one would you be?

I don't know if I'd call myself a hero, but I've definitely reacted very well in a crisis.
I was driving down Indian Head Rd. in KP and notice a woman slumped over on the side of the road. I pulled over and helped her. It looked like someone had thrown her out of a car.
Turns out she was a jogger that slipped and slammed her face in to the guardrail.
I was shaking the whole time, but I was able to make good decisions.

So yes, I can definitely step up in a crisis.

DH would (no matter what) 100% be a hero... he wouldn't think twice.

Me, I'm not sure b/c i've never been in a situation like that, but I know I couldn't sit back and watch something happen.

Re: if you were in a crisis, which one would you be?

I had a real life experience that answereed this question for me. I didn't know how I would respond but when I was in the situation, I became the hero. When I talked to my DH about it afterwards, he said he KNEW I would be a hero and that I needed to believe in myself. Chat Icon

Re: if you were in a crisis, which one would you be?

hero...not because I am great or anything (far from it) but I definitely have more of a "fight" instinct than a "flight" one. I react first & think later. Usually it gets me into trouble but I have jumped into a couple of fights & such without even thinking about it until after it was over.
