If you have the front loader washer/dryer, can you please recommend
if you are happy with them..
DH and I are looking into purchasing the LG front loaders. They do not have to have the steam option. We went to the Sears scratch and dent store. They had a few with minimal cosmetic damage. We also saw a few Samsungs. We are researching right now, so please post your washer dryers and what you like, even what you don't like.. about them! TIA

We just got Whirlpool Duet steam washer and dryer with the pedestals
So far so good i really like them, there is some maintence on them, like wiping them down, after you are done with them with paper towels, and also making sure to keep the door and the detergent tray open at all times.
Alot of people complain about a musty smell in them. My washer and dryer is not in a basement, but its on the 2nd floor in a laundry room that has its own central air vent and baseboard heating, so it never gets musty in there at all.
So far so good we got ours at PC richards
We got a 5 year warranty on them as well, which was extra but i really wanted it

The LG's are really good washers. The Samsung with it's silver ions freaks me out...

my in laws have front loaders and the only complaint i have is that the washer gets thrown off the spinning track sometimes and it takes FOREVER for it to re-fill and become steady again!! i cant tell you how many times i've gone to empty the washer only to find it has been uneven for about 20 minutes 
but other than that - i love them!! so sad that we dont do laundry there anymore haha

I agree about the LG's. We had our for about 3 years and they are awesome. Not a problem yet.

We have Frigidaire Affinity FL Washer and Dryer with the pedestals. I love them.. havent had any problems!

we have the whirlpool and LOVE them....the only problem that I've had with them is the washer...it gets a little stinky sometimes but I've started to leave the door open after washes to let it dry out and we haven't had a problem and I also keep up with buying the tablets to keep the smell away.

Well, we did it! DH and I bought the LG front loaders today! I am so excited!! Yippie skippy! We're also finishing our basement so I can't wait to have everything down there all nice and new!

After thinking long and hard about whether to go with the steam options, we decided against the steam. I have a steamer already and I just did not see spending 500 more for that option. We chose the LG Tromm's with the largest capacity for both washer and dryer.
