If you have given ZYRTEC to your toddler

does itr make them drowsy or keep them up or nothing.... dr gave it to me for DD but not sure when to give it..the bottle says it can make drowsy

It did make DD very drowsy and remember that it last 24hours.

I gave Zyrtec and now Dallergy. Both make him loopy. I only give after dinner and before bath.

The bath calms him down, once he's cozy, he goes right to sleep.

If I give it in daytime, he is batting out all day. one eye opened, can't eat...

ETA: also, I know from my allergies, one dose a day is enough for me, same with him. If you are directed twice a day, I would only try for one.

I give it to DD every night before bed but I didn't notice a difference in her sleeping habits.

I get myself so worked up when i have to give a new medicine..im afraid to give it for the first tine at night bc god forbid she has a bad reaction...then the flip side im dont want to give it durign the day if it makes her loopy...
