And you wanted to go a bit lighter, without going crazy what color would u go??

How much lighter can i get away with?

I have never dyed my hair before- just a few highlights, but never dyed it light.

what do u think??

I wouldnt die your entire head, just do hi-lites.

If you want it subtle, I wouldnt go any version of blonde.

You can start out with a nice, caramel hi-lite color. Of if you want lighter, they can put a glaze/toner in your hair to make it more subtle.

It looks beautiful, do you have to lighten it? I would say varying lo-lights would look amazing. It looks like you have nice coloring, don't mess with a good thing , JMO.

The lightest I would go is Medium Brown.

I have dark brown hair and I have highlighted in the past and it depends on what you are looking for. Natural but a little shine, so it does not look so flat then highlight? or an overlighter, then try a shade lighter and see if you like it....but always in the back of your head remember....the lighter you go...the more you notice the roots

I color my hair and it's dark brown. I get it dyed 2 shades lighter. It just makes a difference to me.

I had highlights for years and it fried my hair.

The lightest I have gone was #411 (Wella, I think) plus some highlights. I loved it and not too light.

thanks ladies.

u know what it is, i'm just so bored with my hair.

it is hard to straighten cause it is so wavy and it frizzes.

dh doesnt want me to cut it cause he is a typical italian.. so it stays long- almost to my butt.

so i want to do something...

i'll start with highlights i guess and see how it goes, i'll take a pic and show u!

I would do medium to light brown highlights, it will brighten you up without lightening you too much, maybe like a caramel.
