If you converted to gas, do you switch your electric stove to gas also?

DH just told me that the guy from Burner King asked him if we were interested in converting our stove too to gas.

we ran a gas line to the house so that we could have a gas cooktop (we haven't converted the boiler yet).

we went with a duel power range so our cooktop is gas, but the oven is electric (best of both worlds). I much prefer cooking with gas.

If you're not sure you want to convert now, you can have them run a line that would be capped off but available for the stove down the road. We did that for our dryer, and now that we're getting a new W/D, we'll make use of it.

You definitely wouldn't *have* to. It's really personal preference. We have two kitchens in our house (for the time being). One is gas and one is electric. When we do the kitchen project next year, DW still isn't sure if she wants to get an electric or gas stove. There are plusses and minuses to both.

Since you have an electric stove now, it's free to keep it. You'd have to buy a new gas stove, and run the gas lines to the kitchen.

we had just bought a new electric stove so when we did our gas conversion, we kept the electric one.

You can have gas heat but an electric stove...one doesnt have anything else to do with the other.

We have gas service in the house but an electric dryer and stove. When we redo the kitchen eventually we will be converting the stove to gas too. I much prefer to cook on gas then electric but my stove is fairly new so we'll wait a bit more.

Yes, we don't have to convert the stove too to gas. I was just wondering if those who converted to gas did it also for this stove range. I have a range. I don't have my stove top and oven separate.
