If you can stand to hear me say it yet again...
dd has a double ear infection. I think this is the 7th or 8th consecutive double infection since the beginning of the fall/winter season.
I did talk to my ped about tubes and he hesitates because he first wants to rule out an immune disorder or resistant strain. He said he's seen many babies with similar infections as mine have the tubes put in and continue to get infections (where the fluid does go away.) He said if she's one of the few that continues to get constant ear infections with the tubes is will be a nightmare.
Soooo we took blood and ruled out an immune disorder. Her immune system is fine Next step is if there is still fluid after this round of antibotics he will send her to an ENT to drain and test the fluid for the strain. If it is a restistant strain there is an antibotic out there that pretty much will get rid of her ear infections permanently (but there are many side effects, which is why he hesitiates to just to do that.)
If she's not resistant and still has fluid, they will do the tubes.
Wish us luck in solving this and finally giving my DD some pain free days

 Poor baby. Damien was like that when he was a baby. Once he got the tubes put in he only got 1 ear infection. It was the best thing we ever did.

awwwww...poor baby!
My brother was like that and my mom finally went to the specialist. They were going to put the tubes in and the day before, he was rubbing and rubbing and rubbing. Well, they went to the specialist and they drained and he didn't get anymore infections. But, unfortunately, there was some permenant hearing loss.
Hopefully this will all clear up
