If you buy a cell phone
How do you get it activated?
I bought a verizon phone off of eBay - I have Verizon service. It doesn't have sim card.
Can I get it activated somehow, and how would i do so?

we went to a verizon store and they activated it for us. But I believe you can do it over the phone as well if you just call verizon.

Ahhhh...my DH says that you have to go to the store and get a sim card.

Ahhhh...my DH says that you have to go to the store and get a sim card.
hmmmm....but my current phone works w/o a SIM. Strange. I'll have to call them.

Verizon phones do not use SIM cards at all. You can activate it through your online account at verizonwireless.com if you have one. If not just call verizon and tell them you need to activate a new phone and they will walk you through it. It's very easy.

my phone died the other day so i went to a VW the store and the customer before me gave me his old phone (which is newer than my dead phone) because he was upgrading his service. they activated the phone for me right in the store. took only a few minutes.
