If you are breastfeeding, how do you give Mylicon Drops?

DD just spits it out when I try to drop them into the inside of her cheek...

Also, how often do you give them to DC? With every feeding?

If you give in a bottle, do you mix with water or Breastmilk?

DD is is just 3 weeks old...

Gently dropping it inside the cheek is your best bet. If she continues to spit it out, try either gently closing her mouth by holding her chin up or using a pacifier to have her "suck up" the meds. This is what we do when DS is crying over gas and won't swallow. The pacifier usually works best....

According to the bottle, you can give Mylicon as often as every two hours. DD probably won't need it that much. Try every other feed to start if the gas is that painful.

If you put the med in a bottle, mix it with breastmilk. No need to give baby water unless she's constipated.

i stick the dropper in his mouth and give it. he drools some out, but I try and put a pacifier in his mouth right after so he keeps it in. I usually give it in between boobs! I give it for each feeding except the night ones - too tired to deal.
