Yes lady i turned around twice to lay a stink eye on you for not controlling your devil spawn.
When is that airline childfree section being rolled out again??

That is ridiculous! I understand that kids cry or get antsy but it's up the parents to calm them down, walk them up and down the aisle and explain (if they are old enough) why kicking the back of someones seat is wrong. That Mom is an idiot. Hope it was a short flight for your sake

thankfully it was short. this was not a small kid either, i'd say at least 6. he was playing some kind of video game with the tray table down and kept banging on the table! then he started punching on the tv screen like maybe he thought it was an ipad!
each time i turned around she said in her gentle let-me-not-reprimand-my-golden-boy-too-tough-otherwise-he'll-end-up-hating-me-for-life voice "come on joshie stop that. i told you to stop that".

I had a similar situation on my 9+ hour flight home from Europe a few weeks ago. I must have asked the father very nicely 3 times to ask his son to stop kicking the seat, the 4th time I was not so nice. I was so annoyed I MAY have frightened the kid (not on purpose) because he stopped after that.

Yep, I'll give the stinkeye once. After that, I will say something - often until it's not happening anymore.
I've been in that situation too many times to deal with it. I have lung issues, the constant kicking to the back of the chair feels like I'm being kicked in my lungs. I'm not going to be inconvenienced and in pain because of a kid.
