If a security guard asks you to not talk on a cell phone in a particular building

...do you take an attitude? One of the guards here in the library told someone that we have a no cell phone policy here (it is a public government building) and she started giving him an attitude that there are extenuating circumstances that make cell phone use necessary.

All he asked was that she go to the lobby to make her call. He didn't tell her to stand in the rain or something crazy.

Gee, walk a few feet to the lobby

It's a library! There should definitely be a no cell phone policy!

I was in a lab getting a blood test last week and they had a no cell phone policy, meanwhile all the girls drawing the blood had their phones going off every 5 seconds.

I would say sorry and run to the lobby

esp in a libray- but I wouldn't talk on my phone in the libray

i actually try not to talk on my phone when other people are around- I find it annoying

I'm so glad I am not the only one who found this lady annoying.

I see this every day too. The best are the people who lean against the no cell phone sign while talking on their cell phones.

It sucks that there has to be rules for common descency. People should know it's rude to talk on a cell phone in a library and other places for that matter.

I think it's shocking that someone actually HAD to be told not to use the phone IN the library

Sometimes when people don't "get it" security tells them that since it is a government building, we can never be too sure of whether or not someone is using a cell phone to set off a bomb

I work in a hospital and instead of getting attitude I just get blatant disregard for our no cell phone policy. People will nod in understanding and then continue with their conversation.
