ideas for writing a letter to a newborn?
Writing a letter to my niece-who is 2 months old for when she turns 18. All the aunts and uncles thought it might be a good idea.
What kinds of things would you share with her?

How you felt when you heard that her parent's were expecting,
how excited you were for her birth,
the love you have for her parents and for her,
how she has a wonderful family,
something funny about her parents,
something touching about her family,
the qualities you hope to teach her,
how you will be there for her when she needs a cool aunt,
how much you love her today and always.

Aww, we did something similar for my baby shower with DS. Every person chose a card (years 1-18) and wrote a letter for him to open on his birthday  So every year he has a letter from someone else to open 
It's late and I'm exhausted, so I can't think of anything meaningful right now

And I LOVE that letter idea at different ages- so endearing and creative!

me too! but now i'm thinking maybe i could incorporate it into DD's 1st birthday invitation.

How about some life lessons since at 18 we knew everything.... talk about what you went through at 18 and see if they can relate.
I love that idea.....now I just wish I had thought of it when my son was first born.
