Ideas for a VERY easy halloween costume
I have a kids party to go to with my son on Saturday and everyone is supposed to dress up..
I want to do something really easy..maybe where I will need to buy just a few accessories and some face paint or something
I am usually really into halloween and come up with great costume ideas, but not so much this year.. plus I'm just not into spending a lot this year
Any good ideas?
All I could think of was boring..

I was a ghost one year. My mother got me silver hair, I painted my hands, face and neck white and wore an old white sheet over my body with a hole only in the neck.
I know, not original, but it was fun!

I did The Cat in the Hat one year and it was very easy. It all came about because someone gave me a Cat in the Hat... hat!
Black pants
Black long sleeve shirt
Black shoes
White gloves
Bought a piece of thick red ribbon and tied it in a bow around my neck
I got some white felt and sewed some onto the chest of the black shirt.

I saw this at a club on Halloween a few years ago. And thought boy that was a cheap $$ costume.

how 'bout dressing up as a "hockey mom" w/ "tina fey" glasses and you'd be Sarah Palin!  seriously I was thinking of doing this for a party I'm going to Saturday night.....I was going to just wear one of DH's Islanders jersey's and put on sweat pants or something, I think its a cute idea! but if you don't want to seem "political" at the party then maybe its not a good idea lol

I have gone as a "little girl"
I put my hair in pigtails, put lots of blush in a circle on my cheeks and draw three big freckles in the blush. . . then carry around a teddy bear. I wore sweats and bought one of old navy's $5 Halloween t shirts

He's being Buzz Lightyear..
Every year in the past I have dressed up as something that coordinates with him.. and this year I was going to be Mr. Potato Head (which seemed easy enough)..
But now I realize that is not such an easy costume as I thought it was..

you can buy muslin by the yard at and fabric store or joanne craft stores. its really inexpensive
eta: if you begin to cut it "with the grain" and then tear it the rest of the way, it will look great and it will tear straight across

She is wearing a black top and black leggings or jeans with a cheetah print belt and cheetah print kitty ears...very easy!
