Yes to both.
It does not look red but it hurts A LOT!
I am pumping but it will not seem to get empty.

If you are not emptying your breasts you may have a plugged duct. Pump again and see if you feel a rock like piece in your breast. Do you know how to do breast compression? Also, a warm towel (just wet one and put in the microwave) NOT HOT, warm will help this as well. Warm helps the milk flow.
Call your doctor. You may need an antibotic. But just know that you can beat this and keep pumping!

I had a breast infection with both my kids when they were only a few days old.... it was not comfortable!!! A day or two on the antibiotics and I was much much better. Hot showers help a bit and my Dr. said to keep BFing.... it helps to unclog the duct.... as painful as it may be, I cried!!
