I honestly believe that teaching is a calling. You have to love it.
During my undergrad, I was a history education major. Buy the time I got to be a senior, we had to do some in field work, teaching 4 lessons a semester, etc. prior to student teaching. I learned than that teaching wasn't for me and changed directions.
I'm sorry that you didn't like it!!

LOL..I have been a teacher for 12 years! But this year, the students seem to care less and I am busting my butt to make sure that they are prepared for college, and they can't even get the vocabulary done for hw! If I hear "Miss, this is too much!" I think I could vomit!
The other part is that the two classes that I am teaching is for my fellow ELA teacher whose father passed away suddenly. He has been out for over two weeks and there isn't an end to his absence. The worst part is that they are freshmen and I so don't like freshman. They are so silly and goffy! That is why I left middle school!
UGH!!!!!!!
