I scheduled my LASIK for December 30th!
I went to the Stahl Eye Center on Madison Ave, and met with Dr. Werner. After the measurements and stuff, we decided on the Custom Bladeless lasik. The actual surgery is at the Garden City location, so DH and I will be trekking out there.
Now I have a whole month to drive myself (and you guys, I'm sure) insane worrying.

I didn't use Stahl but had customvue done last October and almost forget sometimes that I wore contacts & glasses!!

yeahhhhh!!! i am so happy for you!!!! that is the kind that I had done.... I am still better than perfect over a year later glad you decided to do it... one word of advice, dont research anymore!!! you will drive yourself crazy!!! congrats!

i was thinking the same thing- i could scare myself away from a tylenol from reading the warnings.

I went to Stahl Eye Center also. Didn't have that doctor I had Dr. Hufnagel but they are all great. For my post op I saw Dr. Briffel he is a sweetie. Don't worry about a thing I did this back in 2001 and no problems what so ever and still 20/20!!

I had Lasik a few years ago and honestly it was the BEST thing I have ever done. Contacts were always such a hassle - after 24 hours you will be seeing perfectly. It is so amazing. The best thing I can tell you is to not drive yourself crazy by looking things up online - just try to relax and know that everything will work out alright!!!

I had PRK in Aug 2004, my healing process was long and hard, but it was worth it.
I also went to the Stahl Center, I have seen all the Doctors there, because I was there so much during the healing process. Dr. Hufnagel did my surgery.

Same as you - the Bladeless - I don't think he would have decided to have the surgery if he didn't qualify for the Bladeless - the "cutting" surgery freaks him out too much.
If they didn't already do this, you should ask them to prescribe Valium for nerves. They prescribed two for DH - one to take before we leave the house that morning, and one to take when we get there - he'll be nice and calm!!
