I need some help- does someone work for UNITED HEALTHCARE/EMPIRE PLAN??????

I am an office mngr at a doctors office, out of nowhere the crossover with medicare and Empire is all wrong, and the $$ is going to patients instead of the office.... Medicare when they pick up instead of just hanging up which they have done to me too, - tells me it is United's problem, Empire says it is medicare's problem. I write this whole letter to the girl I work with becuase I handle all the other insurances except medicare and tape it to the computer screen, call her 4x last night about submiiter ID #'s and she ignores it- I get into a shouting match with my boss- on and on and on.... I need some help of anyone works for them or has any connections to help starighten this mess out! ( We were in network for 25 years and I think someone at either Empire or Medicare hit the wrong key and made the office a non participating MD! )

call and ask for a supervisor.

I work at Empire but we only handle the Hospital portion of that contract. We shouldnt be on the crossover for your office unless you bill under a facility(hospital)....


This is empire plan right? With UH as medical, BCBS as Hospital?

They are absolutely processing you out of network...my office IS OON with MPN (Empire/UHC) - all of our payments go to the patients.

You need to call UHC - straighten out your network status - then call medicare and tell them that you straightened things out with UHC, please reactive all autocrossovers.

FM me for more specifics if you need them!!!

eta: be prepared to resub all your office credentials, etc. They usually ask for that to reactivate your network status.
