I left my crockpot unattended yesterday and it was fine...
I think I am FINALLY over my phobia of leaving my crockpot on while I am out of the house.
Yesterday I did a trial run with a new crockpot and it was fine!
I finally feel free! haha

yay!! good for you 
i use it all the time while i'm at work, and never had a problem...
i even asked DHS friend who is a volunteer fireman about it and he said he uses his all the time, too... he said it puts out minimal heat, so its really not much different than leaving a light on while you're not home... and as far as it being plugged in, its not different than any other appliance you might leave plugged in
