I know this question may have been asked already but (Star rebate)
So we applied right before the March 1st deadline, this year. I got the thing in the mail for the rebate check (done and already received) Now my question is this. Is the rebate check a separate thing? I thought the STAR program took the taxes off your actual tax bill. So are they 2 different things or is that check the only rebate I am going to see? TIA

There are two rebates. Decrease taxes and the refund for overpayment.
