I just ate bleu cheese ...HELP
I'm really upset. I had lunch with clients and I ordered something that came with bleu cheese, I picked out most of it, but still tasted the remnants of it. I'm now FREAKING out that I totally hurt the baby and am going to get Listeria!!!!

unless you got it from a gourmet restaurant, it was most likely domestic blue cheese, which is pasteurized. you are fine

You should be fine - most cheese in the US has been pasturized. I wouldn't stress it - just try to avoid it in the future unless you know it has been pasturized -

As mentioned, cheeses in USA are pasturized! You will be fine, I promise!
In fact, if you like the dish you can go back to that restaurant, eat it again and you will still be OK!

No worries...truthfully no worries...
The "bleu" cheese was more than likely "blue" cheese that came in a great big bag from Sysco..it's pasterized!!!!
I cant be 100% sure but my neighbor owned a Greek Restaurant. They were only allowed to serve Domestic Feta b/c it is pasturized...Im sure that the same rules apply to Blue Cheese. I was in the restaurant business for years but I never did the ordering...
