I HATE Southampton property taxes!!!!
Every property in the town of Southampton was re-assessed and the appraised value of our home went up $204,644 in 2 years and our 2nd home (investment property) went up $52,690!!!! It's sooo frustrating because we only got the letter today and the grievance day is the 16th and it tells you NOTHING about how it's going to affect your property taxes!!!! We cannot afford to live here any longer, it really sux!! I don't know what to do!

A friend of mine in Flanders just had hers and her house was built in the early 80's and they have it on the assessment as built in 1997. Hers went up $100,000!!!

It is ridiculous. My aunt's taxes, who lives in Ct, went from $12,000 a year to $48,000
She is now looking into moving out of there

you know, that is such crap! I cannot believe they would tax you on revenue not yet earned. it's not like you sold the house yet 
there are some cities in the US who are suing because of these "assessments". I hope they win!
