I HATE MY JOB!

My manager is so rude and speaks in such a demeaning manner I cannot stand him. For ex. My mother-in-law has been in the hospital for 3 weeks on life support in the ICU. One day I told him I was leaving 1/2 hr. early to go to the hospital b/c her lung had collapsed. He looked at me and said, "Ok, you don't think she is going to die tonight right b/c I need you here tomorrow." I was so flawed I did not even respond. I just looked at him and walked out of his office. That is just one example of how much of an a$$ he is.

He makes my office such an uneasy and uncomfortable place to work and it is really starting to get to me to the pt. where I go home angry and I am angry all day at work and this is so not me or my personality. I dont go out on maternity leave until the end of March so I obviously can't look for another job now but I just dont know if I can make it another 2 months with him. As soon as I go out on maternity leave I am going to start looking for other jobs, but I am afraid I will not find anything. I feel like I am stuck between a rock and a hard place.

Thanks for letting me vent. Poor DH hears about it everyday.

I'm sorry. I've been in a similar situation. If you have a manager you hate then it really can ruin the entire job experience.

March really isn't that far...if you weren't going on Maternity Leave I would suggest trying to move to a different dept. or looking for a new job NOW, but in your situation I would just wait it out until March. If you've made it this far, then March is a breeze!
