I had to RE-register to vote today... an important FYI
So I noticed that my DH got a card in the mail from the Suffolk County Board of Elections saying "Dear Daniel, please vote at XYZ location". I thought about it and said to mysef why didn't I get one? I called them and was told that I'm not registered.
Apparently when I got married and filled out the voter registration card, it didn't get sent in or processed. I'm not eligible to vote at the old location either since I changed my address.
THANKFULLY I called this week and still have until Friday to RE-register.
So I am urging everyone to check with the county.
Suffollks number is (631) 852-4500.
Nassau is 516-571-2411.

Thanks for posting this - this happened to DH when we moved too.
I don't think Suffolk County is on the ball - what a surprise!

I would have been SOOO upset if I got there the day of and couldn't vote. I've voted in EVERY election.

I filled out a new card a month ago and called yesterday to make sure they got it and find out my polling location.
I spoke to a lovely older lady who so so sweet!

I called the Nassau # b/c I had a question about DH.
They are open Saturday from 12pm-9pm
400 County Seat Drive, Mineola
She said just come in and fill out the application

As far as I know, you can't do anything (register or change names) online. You need to fill out the form and have it postmarked by a certain date.

This happened to my DH. He sent it in with his license change, but he forgot to sign, so he re-sent & it was never processesd.
He knew, because he got a voter registration card at his parents address & only mine came to our house & then we checked on-line.
We couldn't figure out how to change it though. It wasn't clear if he needs to send in the whole form again, or just call. It sounds like he needs to send it in again, or go in person.
