I had my RE appointment today
First of all, I freakin' LOVE my RE - my friend told me that she's JUST like Dr. Ruth, and OMG was she ever. I wanted to take her home with me! And, I love the jewish bond, I really do. She took one look at my face and my last name and without asking me if I was jewish she asked if I had done all the jewish genetic testing, which I have  
She was very thorough and attentive - took an hour to go through my history and my charts, did a pap smear, a breast check took oodles and oodles of blood and did an ultrasound.
She noticed a lump in my right boob, but because I have a history of being "lumpy" she wants to wait until my next cycle to see if it's still there.
The u/s showed that my follicles and ovary are perfecto and that I'm right on target for ovulating next tuesday. She said that my CM is "marvelous"  and actually had to do two swabs for the pap because there was so much of it 
She looked at my charts and detected that there may be a problem with my luteal phase - it's on the short side, which confirms my suspicions that this may all boil down to a progesterone deficit. So, she's going to do a Beta test in 2 weeks, a post-coital test next Tuesday and an HSG next month.
She said that I was right for coming to see her when I did because, although technically we haven't been trying for a year, she agreed that it's unusual how long it's taking this cycle considering how quickly it happened with my past pregnancies.

So glad it went well. Doesn't feel great to have someone you truly like as an dr? I swear my gyno could be one of my bestfriends she is so sweet.

I'm in the Philly burbs, so unless you plan on driving 2+ hours, I don't recommend you use her

Yeah, and the funniest part is that's EXACTLY how it went! Imagine Dr. Ruth peering into your vayjay whilst saying, with a resounding jewish accent, "your mucous is maaaaaaaarvelous"
