I got the Job BUT....UPDATE, bad news :(
Ok so the job I interviewed for the principal offered me the position....BUT with my issues of being removed from the DOE in May I'm not in the system and he's having trobule putting me on his. This is the point where I had to briefly tell him what happened to me, since he never asked b4, so he said he was going to contact HR and see what can be done.
He also said he was going to email me something to offically accept the position but there's no email in my mailbox.
I'm hoping he didnt go back on his offer, i dunno im being really paranoid, and freaking out!!!
I'm waiting til tomorrow to call him to give him time to send that email and call me back about the HR situation.
Also im on vacation in til the 15th so theres not much I can do from here.
I need some

***Update***
I called the principal, he told me hr told him he couldnt hire me because of the U rating. He apologized and wished me luck. So I immediately called up hr connect to find out the deal. the person I spoke to told me with the U rating I CANNOT be hired anywhere until its changed, and to ask my principal to change it. I told hime she had been fired so that wasnt gunna happen, he said file an appeal, I told him I did with the UFT and he said theres nothing in the system that says so. He gave me the number for the manhattan office and to ask them now whats the next step is to take. Basically I have to find out when my hearing is taking place, which i had been told was not til sept/oct.
A friend of mine is gunna go down to the office with me when I get back from vacation to raise hell and make the UFT get off there a$$es to help me.
Tommorrow Im calling the UFT, but today after everything I was very upset and cried a bit, its very frustrating what happened to me and now that im basically blacklisted until and IF they decide to overturn my rating, My whole career is falling apart since all I wanted to do was teach in NYC. I'm going to lose a year of teaching over this since i cant work since i cant be hired.
my chioces are private school or long island which neither is easy to get into. I just feel so lost when something like this never should have happened to me, i didnt do anything wrong, i was put in a bad spot and made an example of. I know I'm a good teacher and a good person, I don't understand why bad things happen to me.

Can they reneg the offer like that? Did you shake hands? that might be an oral contract? You can call the UFT and ask.
I know it's hard to relax, but sometimes things are slower in the summer and other things take priority.

thats what im wondering if they can "take back" the offer...im hoping not....the email was supposed to be the official contract accepting the job deal, which i still didnt get
i just dont want it to be a too good to be true kinda thing you, especially with everything that happened to me last year, i cant help to be worried!

No one should have to go through what you are going through! I am so sorry! Hopefully the rating will be overturned soon. Let your friend raise he11 for you, but try to stay calm yourself. I know, easier said than done!

I'm so sorry you're dealing with all this crap. I hope that you can get the rating overturned. In the interim, I would send resumes to anywhere and everywhere and also look for leave replacements, perm sub, or subbing positions on LI.

I wouldn't give up yet. Go down there like you said you would. if you could find one helpful person at the the UFT then you can prob get this whole thing sorted out. Start out pleasant.. explain that you have an offer blah blah. I think if you talk to them in person with someone helpful it might make a big difference.

There is ALWAYS a way around this crap. Definately begin wt the UFT offices.
3 years ago I was leaving the school I was at to work at another school in the same district and the principal whose school I was leaving got angry and told the DOE I was resigning my position (leaving the DOE all together).
The DOE took me out of payroll etc and I couldn't be get the other job.
The new pricnipal was really helpful and between the two of us, we got it sorted out.
I guess what I am trying to say is don't feel defeated just yet. I know it is frustrating but keep following through.
