I gave Cailen his 1st official "Time out" last night!!!
He likes to pull out the cable card.
He usually stops though after he does it once, because then his show disappears.
Well, last night, he pulls it out and looks at me.
I tell him no, put the card back in, turn the channel back onto his show.
The little stinker looks at me with THAT face. I tell him no, as the hand sloooowly creeps back over to the card.
No, Cailen - No... NO!!!
Yoink. He smiles at me - card in hand, tra la la la mommy!!!
I picked him up, put him away from the TV and placed him on the floor. He was stunned!!!! He looked at me with a pouty lip, and I ignored him. Then he got up trying to kiss me, laughing. I totally ignored him for about 5 more seconds.
Card went back in.
He didn't touch it!!! 
Terrible two's, here we come. A year early, but whose counting

He has to learn somehow!! Good job mommy!
I think DD is also ready for the terrible twos at 1... she learned how to shake her head "no" and does it for everything now!

We started time outs a couple of weeks ago too after my DD hit her cousin. She totally gets the concept. It is hard not to laugh though

ooooo, you handled that a lot better then I would have.......
I cannot stand blatant disregard for rules...or whatever you call that......

Oh, I know this all too well. Now, when he does that...TV goes off. Needless to say, this habit is dying very quickly .
Actually, Terrible Twos usually start right after the first birthday (their second year). So, he's right on schedule.

Oh no!! But we already timed out Ethan. Yes, already! He is a cutie but he loves to try things and see what we do. Like he knows not to touch my glasses. But he will keep trying once in a while to see if he can get away with it.
