I leave it for weeks until I get sick of the dust and such. Then I take a whole Saturday and just go at it till Im exhausted.
I probably should do it another way but for now with work and college- I'm too busy.

I just couldn't take it anymore so we hired a cleaning service to come every 2 weeks.
Best decision I've ever made for my work/life balance and sanity.
Now when I come home I can actually sit down instead of vacuuming or dusting.
And on weekends I don't have to spend a whole day cleaning the bathroom or mopping the floors.
Now if I could just get the damn laundry fairy to show up at my house I'd be so happy!!

after 6 months with no cleaning lady
I am looking for one again
I admitt- I can not keep up- and the $50-$60 a week or every 2 weeks to get help is worth it to me
my time is worth more then that- I have so little free time- I don't want to spend it cleaning anymore!

My DH already had a cleaning lady come every two weeks when we got married. With a full time job and school, I 'm glad I don't have to worry about all the cleaning duties.

I clean as I go. As for dusting and the bathrooms, I get that done on Sat. mornings while DH watches DS.
Im home all day, but, DS is a cat napper, so, I just do the best I can. Cleaning as you go definitley helps!

We keep a neat and clean house all the time. God forbid there is one thing out of place with my dh. I'm always on top of the laundry and I wash the floors/bathroom almost every other day.
I'm a SAHM so I guess I'm supposted to do that...

We are both pretty neat - esp. DH - but I have a cleaning crew come once a week.
BEST $60 I can spend without a doubt!!

I am probably the worst housekeeper. I would rather get a root canal than clean.
I used to say it was because I had no time. Well now I'm not working and it still isn't getting done. I've come to realize that it isn't the time- it's the fact that I have no desire to do it.
But DH won't let me get a cleaning lady considering I'm home.
So it sits until he gets fed up and starts cleaning...then I feel guilty and pitch in.
I've come to accept the fact that cleaning isn't as important to some people as it is to others....and that's OK!

I try to keep a schedule and do things after work rather than spend my weekends doing it.
I do two loads after work one day, grocery shop another day and clean another day. I am doing my best so weekends aren't chore days.

Exactly what I do. I bring the garbage out when I go to get the mail and bring laundry upstairs if I'm making a trip up there, wash the dishes while I'm waiting for dinner to finish cooking, etc.

I am not good at it either. right now we are in a one bedroom and I have a hard enough time keepng up with it. I am really anxious about what it is going to be like when we move into our house. I am really pulling for a cleaning lady!!

I STINk at cleaning. I am always posting asking for tips and advice. I don't know how to clean---THERE I SAID IT
So this past Saturday I hired a cleaning person. Best, decision I ever made. I watched her clean (which probably freaked her out a bit) but she rocked and I learned a lot

this is exactly what i do!! i try to do somethign little every day after work.... i refuse to spend my weekends cleaning. and its not so bad... i just spend 15-30 minutes every day after work doing/cleaning something, and its manageable...

It is hard to keep up with everything. Now, at 7 months pregnant, I am just beginning to find cleaning hard. We have a fairly large house so starting on Monday we will have a cleaning lady coming every 2 weeks...I just can't keep up and after I have the baby I am not going to have the time or energy to do it by myself.

I pick up as I go as well, so my messes never get that out of control. Also, ever since I got the all mighty dishwasher... I have ALOT more time on my hands. Now if only I can get the mop gods  . I hate mopping more than anything.
