I am so nauseous I could scream! (possible TMI)

I am so good with pain, stress, tension, and even fatigue. But this nauseous is so insane. I'm so miserable. None of the little tricks are working. I'm going to try the wrist bands soon.

I'm not getting sick (only a couple of times) I'm just so bloated and queasy! I'm so afraid that I'm not eating and drinking enough but I can't manage to get the food into my mouth. Yuck! When I was pregnant with DD, a lot of the girls who battled nausea tried these and they seemed to help! I think you can get them at BRU. Feel better! Chat Icon

I tried the pops... nothing. DH is getting the wristband today so I can try them.

My question is for those who had the same thing... what did you eat???

not sure if this is true, but a nurse told me yesterday that if my m/s gets really bad to put alittle bit of rubbing alchol on a q tip and lightly sniff it, it will make the m/s go away. again i dont know if it works or not

eggo waffles (just toasted - no butter or syrup)
ginger ale
1/2 gatorade and 1/2 water

And that's about it... for 3 1/2 months.

The wristbands didn't help me either.
In fact, nothing really helped. Chat Icon

The wristbands did not help me either. I would sip water throughout the day and eat carbs. I was only eating bagels and pizza for the first trimester. It was the only thing that I could stomach. Chat Icon

When I start feeling sick I pop these little ginger candies my dr recommended...I'm going to guess that you might have already tried that...but if you haven't, might as well...they seem to calm my queasiness..

Re: I am so nauseous I could scream! (possible TMI)

I tried EVERY SINGLE HOME REMEDY on the internet Chat Icon

nothing worked. at all.
The only relief I got was zofran, my wonder drug. My OB prescribed it at 9 weeks because I'd lost 15lbs between weeks 5 and 9. I started on 4 pills a day, and now, at 27 weeks, I'm down to 1 pill/day.

I am seriously starting to think of it like this.... it's my little guy's way of making sure Mommy doesn't get too fat! I lost 23 lbs between weeks 5 and 20. At week 24, I gained 4.5lbs back, so I'm still down about 18lbs from my pre-pg weight, but I have a HUGE gut and baby is measuring in the 90th+ percentile. Clearly he's getting what he needs from somewhere!

You'll be OK - baby will be OK.

I feel a little better. I had a bagel and 2 frozen ice pops. I'm still queasy but not as much as it was before.

I am going to be honest...nothing helped me Chat Icon I lost weight in the beginning because eating was out of the question. My doc told me to drink. Sipping water was the only way that I could drink. When I felt that I could eat, I ate ANYTHING that appealed to me at the time. It gets better...I promise! Chat Icon

Re: I am so nauseous I could scream! (possible TMI)

my Dr suggested putting the seabands on before even getting out of bed in the morning, or putting them on before going to sleep at night and leaving them on the whole next day.

I ate bread for breakfast and lunch, fruit for snack (it was what I craved) and for dinner I only wanted italian ice. I just wanted something cold in my mouth at night since my stomach couldn't handle anything else. Feel better...it passesChat Icon

Re: I am so nauseous I could scream! (possible TMI)

This sounds so silly but just eat WHATEVER you find appetizing at the moment you are hungry. If its fast food or ice cream, whatever just eat it. Carbs usually work so bagels, breads, muffins, fresh fruit. Also my doctor recommended the BRATT diet......bananas, rice, applesauce, tea, and toast. I didn't really eat the rice but the rest I was able to eat. Stick to bland foods. Try to stear clear from greasy foods b/c they can upset your stomach which triggers it. I also found that smelling foods cook made it worse so open the windows. For me cooked veggies were the worse so instead I would eat carrot sticks, cucumber slices, peppers all RAW. Gatorade is also good to keep on hand......water it down.

I am 15wks and I still have it pretty bad. I have lost weight and vomit daily sometimes 3x/day. It is now starting to calm down. Always keep a bag in your car/bag, bottle of water, and crackers or a cookie. Hang in there!!

(Both our moms said "they NEVER got sick with eiher of us" Chat Icon) I tried the BRATT diet at from but 2 bites of the banana and I was done. I'm doing the bracelets still and i was able to hold down a bagel last night and and a bagel with jam (i was daring) this morning
